How did we (well, me) get here? Well…….

I was raised in Brooklyn (stand up!) and am now a corporate attorney in NYC specializing in finance transactions (yea, I know…snooze). But here’s the story… I went into the corporate world because it seemed like THE thing to do to ensure this “safe and secure” lifestyle everyone is always blabbing about. Having spent the past 10 years working in large investment banks and huge law firms, I have found joy, adventure and fulfillment to be lacking in the “corporate world”. Especially in the legal profession! Long hours can make the work seem all consuming and overwhelming, but there is so much adventure, peace and excitement outside of the office!

Thus, I started this website and my instagram, @outofofficeesq as both an outlet for and a portal to the woman behind the business casual. Here, I focus on the non-professional aspects of this young professional’s life and channel well-rounded happiness and a practical lust for life.  Both I and this site are a work in progress.
